intake breather hoses

i was wondering if anyone knew exactly what all 3 of the breather hoses did that attach to the air box. my car is a 2002 2.5rs. i have an intake on it now and i wasnt sure if i should put a little filter on each one or connect them with a T fitting. I am pretty sure that 2 of them release oil with heat and one breathes in fresh air. Is this true and do they all need vacuum to work properly?:crazy:
