I've got the cat off, the downstream sensor has a loose wire, so I'm going to replace that (suggestions for cheap? ebay seems to have a lot to offer). The upstream seems to be intact. Is there any way to check to see if it's good? Of course, all of this assumes that I can actually get it out. It's not moving.
Backstory: Replaced the cat 3 years ago. I think it was an Eastern, but not sure. Can't find receipt. I bought it myself, had shop down the street install for $100. It's rusted so badly from the Cleveland winters, that it just completely rusted out the pipe right near the downstream end. Completely detached. I have another Eastern that I'm putting on myself. I had to cut the rusted bolts with a sawzall. Now I've got an old cat sitting in my garage with, hopefully, one good 02 sensor that MAY be willing to come out.
ANY thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated. The new cat is in-hand, with gaskets and bolts, although I'm pretty sure that the upstream bolts did not come with the cat. I may have to take care of those myself.
