Hey, Guys
I have a 99 Impreza RS and swapped in a 99 Forester motor both were automatic, with a Jdm manual tranny. They are both 2.5L (non Cali) emissions....generally speaking all the parts are the same...... the trouble I am having is that my check engine light popped up trouble code: P0102 Subaru - Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input, With it pluggged in, it'll start and then idles at about 2000 rpms sometimes 3000 rpms for about 3 seconds and then die, but if I leave it disconnected, the mass air flow idles at around 500 no more then 1000 rpms.
I have changed the mass air flow 3 times with 3 different brands starting with the cheapest brand until purchasing a mass air flow from Subaru dealership...im sure its not the sensor...lol...not to mention a new engine harness.
The only abnormality aside from the motor swap, if any is the motor has a turbo set up and it is running off the RS "ECU" and Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator.
Thanks in Advance,
Nick
