I had to get new head to block alignment dowels (4) and they slide in easily by hand into the heads. However, they are apparently going to need special care to get them into the block. After removing the four from my ej20k block (and bending them all) I realize there must be an accurate way to get the new ones into my ej257 block. I tried carefully tapping them in with my plastic hammer but that doesn't work. I am thinking of using a long bolt and a spacer and just tightening the bolt to pull it in. Before I try it this way and possibly damage a new one, is there a better way to do it? Thanks for any help!
