I just finished an ej207 swap and I was told by a reputable shop that since it is fully stock minus the exhaust I don't need a tune and I can run it on 91 octane with my power FC without detonation problems. Is this true because I know the Japanese fuel is different than ours Or are they just telling me this so that they can get my car out of the shop?
