From the ground up, the long road a head.

My project car is whats left of a left over project. A few of you might remember when I converted my FWD 95 L into AWD using a parts car. Well, this is the parts car that I have towed for more miles than actually driven. The car started in the mountains of North Carolina, moved its way to Brian's house (George of the Jungle) then to my house in Columbia where it would sit for many years and finally is in my garage in Charleston.

After I used it for the AWD project I had no real use for it. My other L was destined to be the monster Subaru I wanted, but life changed and we were going to adopt a baby. DDing my 95L and a baby wasn't practical so I reluctantly sold it and got a brand new car. The adoption fell through because the baby momma backed out and I was stuck with a car I didn't want, no garage, a dead-end job, and no project.

I shortly after joined the AF Reserves and came back to Charleston soon to be activated. My wife didn't like being separated so she found a job down here and moved from Columbia. We rented a house for a while and I still had no garage and I was searching for a permanent job after my activation was over. Fast forward two years I am still activated my wife is moving up in her job and we bought a house WITH a garage. I have found a job and my activation is over in September.

I now have a garage, a job to support my car habits, and now I just needed a car... Enter the crap box sitting behind my shed in Columbia, South Carolina. I kind of have a stupid emotional connection to this car. I bought it broke, broke it more, and just left it to rot. My wife knew how badly I wanted to get another project going but didn't want me to spend much cash. BINGO, I have a car that is free and is in decent condition. ENTER the 95 Shell, and do I mean shell.

The car is so far stripped down I need to break down the steps in which I want to have things accomplished

Step 1: Completely clean inside/outside of vehicle
Step 2: ?

Enough talking lets get to a few pictures:

The car under the shed.

Getting this thing on the trailor with no wheels was a challenge

Garage Empty (yes I finished trimming the paint)

First step is to get her cleaned up to see what I'm dealing with

In all her beauty

That is it for tonight.
