Redoing struts/springs, give your input!

Considering the insurance is giving me only one new OEM strut to replace the one bent in the accident, I'm going to get all new ones all around. The other three have 100k. I planned on doing this when they blew, but the time came early.

I daily drive and autox (like everyone, right?). I'm mainly looking for a comfortable ride. In the pat I've had GF210 springs and AGX struts. I kept the struts on the stock settings 99% of the time. It was a little harsh, but not bad. This time I'd like something just a bit more comfortable, even at the expense of 'performance'.

With a 2004, my options on struts are Excel-G's for $280 shipped, Tokico HP (blues) for $500... both with stock-like valving, 10% over OEM. Tokico Dspecs for $800 are long time back ordered and are a bit out of my price range. I also don't need the adjustable settings. I haven't found STI struts from a 2004 locally used.

Springs... I can get a set of Epic Engineering for $220 shipped or Mach V's for the same price. Cost isn't an issue really here. Many other springs go with higher rates than I want. Another option would be STI takeoff springs, but there would be virtually zero lowering with those. I don't want it slammed.. the rear ride height is just fine, but the front has to go.

So currently I'm thinking the Excel-G's with Epic Engineering springs, stock tophats and bumpstops. Evaluate my decision process.

:D
