I bought a 2000 2.5RS and to my amazement, it came with the wire-harness merge already done with a 2004 STi harness (but no ecu...) The motor in the engine bay is a stock 2.5RS motor that was thrown in and the STi motor and tranny taken out. (Car was hit, insurance paid the owner out, he took the motor out ofcourse) However, the wire harness is complete intact and labeled. I (just two weeks earlier) bought an 2004 WRX. I'm wondering, can I use his STi wiring harness that has been merged in the cabin on my WRX motor?
Redundant short-story: GC8 with 2004 STi wire harness merged. No STi motor or tranny. But have a 2004 WRX motor and tranny. Can I use my WRX motor to the STi's wiring thats been merged? I have a 3rd GC8. I just use that GC8's ECU and stick it in here and plug & play it, right?
