Hello all! So I have a question. I have one of the 97-98 ej20g's out of a gf8 currently in my 2000 2.5rs. I was considering swapping a ver. 3 (or is it 4, i dont remember)sti 6s ecu, matching injectors and maf since it all plugs in and swapping in the stock sti wastegate solenoid. I've only found one thread in the whole interwebs where someone did this, though it was on an Forrester. My motor is rated at 250hp vs sti's 286 or so hp. So heres my question. I know it all plugs in, but my motor has higher compression at 9.something:1 vs the sti's 8.5:1 (I think) compression and the sti has more agressive cams. If I do this, can I reliably run at stock ecu boost pressure? Of course, I wont be getting on it hard without a tune, but I think the td04's fast spool along with sti components would work great together On this motor! Any input and comments on this idea?
