2005 Impreza RS Air Intake Manifold and Hybrid Air Intake System Performance

So I was thinking about buying a intake wanted to know if someone had already done this before and experienced significant gains? Also I was wondering if it would be a good purchase to install the hybrid intake system supplemented by the manifold? I know the air intake alone will give some HP but reduces slightly the Torque. Opinions, thoughts?
