Hello peoples
Well im very new to the Sexually Transmitted Infection family :P
these cars have some great power and I believe that theres a lot of fun to be had in them...well when they are actually working that is.
don't get me wrong im not hating on them but with all the sensors for just about everything, it only just complicates the system more. iv had my 99 sti impreza for a year now and recently conquered the battle of ABS light staying on (wonky earth wire) and still in the battle of check engine light madness (knock sensor and o2 sensor). even though these problems aint majors, I would really like to encourage any new owners of this beast of a vehicle to have a crack yourself at any issues that may arise.. im no mechanic but iv done enough reading and experimenting to figure these cars out. if mechanics can do it then you can too if you can afford some of the professional tools.. if you cant then improvise. I plan to get another car and use my subi as a project... if those muscle heads can do it then why cant we... I still don't know where to start but im on my way by doing a lot of reading and learning what makes these cars tick. the classic subarus are becoming a lot harder to find. so the moral of the story....save yourself expensive mechanic costs and dnt be afraid of getting your hands dirty... and if you **** it up, then aleast that's a lesson learnt
