Is this a fair price for AC work on 2002 RS2.5?

A local shop that we hear is respected looked at our non-functional AC and says hoses need replacing. Parts (hoses, freon) + labor = $1295 from this shop. Is this fair? Would dealer be cheaper?

2002 RS 2.5 with 110,000 miles.
