This is more of a feeler but if I get the right number I will not hesitate to sell. This car runs flawlessly, only problems are stupid ones that do not affect drivability... I am just bored of having a slow ass 4EAT EJ251... I am ready to step into a bugeye... or if I am lucky a blobeye rex

Back Story:

Ok I bought this car back in late november with about 135k on it and it is now about to hit 140k but will go up as it is my daily driver and I put about 300 miles on it a week. Previous owner failed to inform me that the Head Gasket was leaking and I didn't find out until I already purchased the car... This car never broke down on me or failed me while it was leaking.. no CEL or loss of power... only thing noticeable was slowly losing fluids and sometimes burning smell from fluids dropping onto hot exhaust... I drove this car on 50-100 mile trips with the leak and it never failed me... or overheated! never once did temp gauge go anywhere near the top of the gauge... car ALWAYS was at proper temp... Probably could have continued to drive the car with just topping off the fluid... never once did the car not want to drive! always was ready to get up and go.

But I decided if I was going to keep the car, I should fix it asap before it got any worse and ended up failing me... so at roughly 137k I had the following things repaired/replaced at a reputable mechanic. Have receipts for everything...

THE GOOD:

Repairs:

-head gasket replaced with a master gasket kit from Z1Auto, can look them up and see that it is a full kit of nearly every gasket in the engine... Z-1 Performance Automotive Services Inc. - Z1 Performance Head Master Kit (including, Pair of headgaskets, exhaust manifold gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, valvecover gaskets, intake and exhaust valve seals, cam seals, valve cover bolt washer/grommet, oil filler neck gasket and throttle body gaskets, and spark plug seals)

-I also ordered a timing belt kit from Z1, which includes, timing belt, water pump, all new tensioners, idlers, pulleys, and new accessory belts as well... Z-1 Performance Automotive Services Inc. - Z1 Performance Timing Belt Kit Impreza/Legacy

-From subaru, I ordered new fuel filter, pcv valve, air filter element, new head bolts (unnecessary to replace but didn't want to cheap out on the repair), spark plugs, front crankshaft seal, water pipe o-ring

-the heads were sent to machine shop to be resurfaced when the head gasket was done

-Also the front passenger side wheel bearing was going bad and I replaced that as well.. (not cheap)

-Also at the end of winter I noticed my windshield was cracked and replaced that as well...

I have invested A LOT of money into this car already and I have a lot of faith that it will run for a long time if treated correctly...

-On 4/3 I did a trans fluid drain and fill with Subaru ATF-HP fluid and and oil change with castrol gtx 5w-30, as well as changing both the engine and trans filter with oem subaru filters... and new crush washers on both drain plugs

-I did one drain and fill of the power steering but I will be doing more soon... I also did coolant drain and flush, filled with subaru long life coolant mixed 50/50 with distilled water and one bottle of subaru cooling system conditioner was added as well...

On 4/14, I drained both the front and rear differentials and filled up with oem subaru extra-s fluid...

If my buddy can help me out I will be bleeding the brakes as well and putting new fluid in and checking brake pads while I am at it. (brakes are fine but I like to be preventative and keep it in good shape)

Remember that regular maintenance is not cheap and this car will have it all done for you already!

As far as MODS, I really haven't done much at all...
-First thing I did was install some new Phillips head lights... not annoying HIDs just regular bulbs that light up the road very well... my regular bulbs actually light the road up better than my friend's HIDs
-I have a set of the Basic Rally Armor Mudflaps on the car
-I debadged the trunk but still have all letters so you can always "re-badge" it
- I bought a 20mm sway bar from someone off there bugeye wrx and switched it out for the flimsy 12mm that was on that car... still have the 12mm and can return it to stock if you would like and maybe be a little more flexible on the price, but the 20mm bar didn't cost me much at all...
-I also upgraded the grounds from the stock grounds... there are grounds now to the coilpack and the alternator as well... this is supposed to result in lower overall resistance which just results in better sensor function and smoother feel from car... I noticed I am getting better mpg now too
-Brand new PIAA super silicone windshield wipers were put on after the new windshield, they work GREAT!

I know I am forgetting some small things..

most money invested in this car was maintenance and not modification...

I do plan on getting an sti catback fabbed up to replace my stock exhaust tho so if you would rather buy it with stock exhaust let me know because this will be happening within the next month most likely...

the car is auto so don't ask if it's manual...
also the car had Brand NEW pirelli P4 all season tires put on it when I bought the car and I have only put 4k on them... tires are not cheap... even with all seasons I never had any problems in the snow even when we got the big storms this winter

The Bad:
I have to admit I made this car sound quite amazing but it does have some flaws, minor ones to me...

-Passenger side window is not properly aligned, it is not off track but goes up to high and catches on the weather guard if it is not first rolled down a bit before opening/closing the door (I have grown used to it)

-Has some scratches and dents, little bit of paint fading in spots and little bit of peeling... also when I bought the car it had a black spot on the passenger rear bumper, I am not confident in my car painting skills so I haven't touched it yet

-right now the A/C seems to need a recharge which I plan on doing very soon

- I think the handbrake is worn out, I have tried tightening/adjusting it but it doesn't ever seem to fully engage... not a big deal really tho cuz it is automatic...

-Not really a bad thing but, at one point I did have a Check Engine Light for evap something.. I forget the exact code... it ended up being a corroded wire near the back the car, the wire harness wasn't re-usable so I had to make a direct connection, by-passing wire harness. Fixed the Check Engine Light tho and hasn't come back on since then! And again the Check Engine light did not cause any effect on the car. Car still drove normal and seemed to not care one bit. After researching, it was just causing the car to run a little rich and waste a small amount of fuel, all is well now tho...

-Occasionally when you turn the car off the radio will stay on for some reason... simple fix is just disconnect the negative terminal from battery and your good... this hasn't happened to me in a few weeks... I think extra grounds may have helped... If it happens again I will probably just replace the stock head unit with a new one to see if that fixes the problem.

Keep in mind this car is 10 years old. interior isn't bad, but could be better, missing ashtray/coin tray... the reason for such high price is because it will run for a LONG time and I have a lot of money invested into it.

I tried to be as honest and transparent as I could in writing this... this car is not perfect, not the best to look at, but this car will RUN for a long time!

If you do not like the price.. make me an offer... also will keep trades in mind but mostly only interested in subaru's. don't me afraid to text me with an offer tho... looking for something manual... preferably a wrx/sti

Please TEXT! I will not answer random numbers, just text me saying your interested and if you have a lot of questions ill give you a call when I can...

If you can't text, send me a email but it might get caught by my spam filter so don't get mad if I don't answer right away...

Thank you for looking at my car and have a nice day
