This is a thread that hopefully vendors and manufacturers will see and ponder. It gets old seeing parts constantly being rushed into production every time a new model vehicle comes out yet the cars we drive seem to get constantly skipped over. Of course the cars have been around the block a few times but there are katrillions of them all over the planet still doing their job.
This thread isn't for discussing why a company won't make a part for our cars but a thread to discuss what you would like made for your car. I'd appreciate the negative comments be kept out of this thread.
I will start with a few things I would like to have and not have to get custom built.
1-A legit / functional front strut bar that I can't bend with a few fingers. Grimmspeed is making them already for the brz/frs cars and it is actually a design that will work. I could get the metal cut for the end bracket rings and weld a straight chromoly tube straight to the rings but don't want the hassle of getting some shop to do it.
2-Hood struts that actually lift the hood to a useable height. I don't want them for the "style" or attention, I want them for functionality. The ones Grimmspeed makes for the 02+ cars lift the hood way up and give plenty of workspace. Why can't they or even the other companies just make them the correct length for our cars? Really?
I can't think of other parts at the moment but there are several others I've wanted and haven't been able to get. I do like how some of the 02+ parts fit our cars, but its lame that you have to hope a part for a newer vehicle fits because someone refuses to make them for yours.
