Hey all, today I've got my car for sale. It's a 1998 L wagon. It's got just shy of 200k on the engine (last I remember it was 199,8xx). The car needs a bit of love if bought as a whole (may well part it out instead, I haven't decided at this stage). I bought the car April last year and have absolutely loved driving it. I'm really sad that I need to sell it, but it's got some issues that I don't really want to get too deep into with the tools and space I currently have, and I'm at a point in my life where I'm not entirely sure where I'll be a few weeks from now (hopefully...currently searching for work). The car has got some good, and it's got some bad.
The bad first:
-Fuel leak, looks like it's just ahead of the tank, haven't pinpointed it yet, more info to come
-CEL P0440 (I believe the two are related)
-A tiny bit of steering wobble at 60+: I had some CV issues last summer that I believe did a little damage to the steering rack. Not enough to worry me, but enough to notice)
-Significant QP rust
-blue vinyl wrap (some may like it, some may not. PO put it on and it's been nice not having to worry tons about the paint the way I normally would)
-"loose" gearbox (meaning that when the car is in gear, I can move the shifter stick a good bit, no problems with the gearing at all, just shifter bushings I believe), the gearbox itself is very strong and solid
-No horn, I'm led to believe it's the clockspring but i'm not 100% sure
The good:
-WRX wheels wrapped with Hankook Ventus V12 K110 tyres. Less than 5k old, I'll get the current tread depth once I find my calipers
-Kartboy short shifter. Made for 97-01 imprezas
-rear brake setup from a 99 legacy
-KYB GR struts with WRX shocks (not entirely sure when they were installed)
-new CV's, replaced within the last 5k miles. One was subaru OE, the other from napa
-New fuel filler neck/shutoff valve that has been replaced in the last year
-Flocked dash
-Engine still runs strong
-Custom exhaust done by the PO, WRX pipes welded up to a flowmaster exhaust. Sounds fantastic
I'm not entirely sure what everything is worth, but please let me know what you'd like either here or via PM, and we can work some stuff out. I'm happy to ship anything, smaller is better, but as long as shipping is worked out, I'll ship anything. I'm giving this about a month, and whatever isn't sold will be going to the scrapyard
