Okay, I've been thrilled to find that many of the odds and ends parts I need for my car are easily available and pretty cheap! Having in the past worked on older cars for which parts were hard to find/unavailable or on newer more expensive sports cars the prices I've been finding for my 99/2004 RSTi have been a treat! I've managed to lookup many parts on web sites, via PDFs, and even got the Subaru FAST software kinda' working in a VM. Loving it!
However what I cannot seem to find anywhere is part numbers for bolts! I've found some of the plastic clips at clipsandfasteners.com but nowhere can I seem to find bolts. Some of the hardware on my car is rusted, some of it is simply missing, some of it is damaged. As cheap as parts have been replacing these pieces seems like the smart way to go when I've got something taken apart and the OEM plated stuff has got to be better than any locally sourced galvanized crap. Nowhere in the parts lists can I find bolts and none of the exploded diagrams have them. I've tried looking up bolts, fasteners, and all sorts of other synonyms for the silly things but thus far no go. Surely they sell it else they would be the first OEM I've ever seen that doesn't.
So, stupid newb question - what does Subaru call this stuff and how the heck do I find it so I can swap out the rusted crap? Thanks!
P.S. How about wiring pigtails or connectors to repair damaged wiring? I've got some wiring that's been cut <sob> that I need to replace....
