Looking at a 2000 rs 2dr with only 61,7xx miles on it. Its the red color (canyon red pearl maybe). Surprised to see one with such low miles, and of course it's way overpriced because of that.
Will be looking for obvious HG issues, as that seems to be the main concern. As well looking for any rust issues. I printed the used buying guide from here, thanks for that forum!
My question is, am I just blind with Subaru lust thinking that an old car like this will be a fun, reliable DD for me? I've read that sohc have less issues than dohc in regards to HG's. In my head though, I'm seeing HG replacement, along with tb, h2o pump, ect all at 100k.
I've always wanted an rs, my lady has a wrx, so i don't feel the need to 'slap a turbo on that puppy, or do the swap'.
I'd like to use it to become more familiar with maintenance, and put some money into the suspension, to make it a fun dd.
And I want it to keep miles off my current dd, a Chevy Silverado. Will also save me some gas money.
I know any car is reliable if well maintained, I also know older cars come with issues. I appreciate any input. Especially that in favor of the rs :lol:
