So I am looking to buy a 2 door coupe. Roller or shell I don't care. Its going to be converted to a time attack monster. And I am by no means a low baller kind of guy.
But god damn, Some people think their cars are gold. I see some of the same cars on CL selling for $1500 to 2k. Here is $7500

I mean if I put my 06 subie up for sale with each aftermarket part added into the value. I'd be trying to sell a 110k car. Which I'd sell right this second. But its NOT going to happen.
And I see a lot of ads here where people start off with the base car 4k, and 200k+ miles, rust, 1/4 panel damage and so on. Then add the cost of each part till they have a 15k car. Then say firm on the price @15k.
I love to think we could get paid for our modifications. But lets be honest. The seller is the only guy that really values modifications on a used car. I mean mods are cool in all. But its wishful thinking to expect adding aftermarket parts are going to double or triple the value of your car.
