My forester XT has a oil leak and its hitting the uppipe and smoking. Ive been dealing with it for the past year or so but this past weekend it got really bad and everywhere i went it would be billowing out of the hood.
Over the past year ive tried and tried to find it... re sealing the valve cover twice, swapping the turbo, and checking everything.
today i decided to pull the motor cuz obviously i couldn't see the leak.
2 hours later... still cant figure it out. It actually looks like it was coming from one of the breathers on the valve cover, i couldn't get the clamp back on a year ago when i rebuilt the engine....
But seems to be a lot of oil recently for just that breather... Does anyone know if this is possible. I would leave a 2in diameter spot of oil every time i parked...
Heres the pictures, its the hose closest to the back of the car, Its not the hose that goes to the intercooler.
